Blogging Friends Blog Hop – Happy Spring Flowers

Welcome to this month’s Blogging Friends Blog Hop!

Thanks for making it over to my blog! Each month we’ll have a different theme, and this month it’s “I’ve Got Spring Fever”.

With snow on the ground here, it’s hard to picture Spring… but I’m thinking all about flowers!

For today’s card I wanted brightly colored fun flowers to reflect the season I hope is right around the corner. I’m sad this set is retiring but didn’t want to pass on using the fun flowers and coordinating dies with the Pretty Perennials set while I still can.

Here’s some bright flowers for you –

I love this color combo. Magenta Madness and Mango Melody are so nice together. For the inside, you can stamp the colors full strength and then stamp again (called stamping off) to get multiple shades of flowers.

I used the In Color enamel dots for the flower centers of the front, and the Bumblebee goes great to accent the Mango Melody.

The layers of flowers are so festive; some are glued down, some are up on glue dots, and some are on dimensionals. This gives them different heights. You can just tuck in some leaves once the flowers are placed.

This is such a happy card, so I decided to leave the sentiment that way. I didn’t want to stamp it because I wanted to layer multiple colors and do white on white.

To do this I used the retiring Well Written dies. In the end I went with just black and white, and I think it turned out great this way. This can be for any happy occasion, especially in the Spring!

Here are the supplies I used:

Stamps: Pretty Perennials

Card Stock/Paper: Magenta Madness, Mango Melody, Granny Apple Green, Black, White

Inks: Magenta Madness, Mango Melody, Memento Black

Cut & Emboss Machine items: Well Written Dies, Perennial Petals Dies

Accessories: In C0lor Enamel Dots, Dimensionals, Glue Dots

I hope you’ve enjoyed this project, and don’t forget to hop through the rest of today’s entries and leave us some nice notes!
