International Blog Highlights Winners Hop

Welcome to a special post today!  It’s the Top 10 for Kylie’s International Blog Highlights! What an exciting event to be voted in the Top 10!!  I’m so excited that everyone loved my card, and if you missed it, you can see it by clicking here.

Our theme this month is Thank You,

I am loving all the Holiday products that are out, but wanted to show how you can use them for more than Holidays!

For this project, I used a neutral color found in the Classic Christmas DSP 6×6 stack – Sahara Sand.  I paired it up with a different green from the pack – Old Olive, and added in another neutral – Black. You can not even tell it was a Christmas paper when used this way.

I made it a non-standard fold by having the card open in the middle and added a belly band wrapped around the whole card.

I love the shine of using the clear embossing powder over the sentiment when inked up with Versamark first, then Old Olive.  You can get almost any color embossed image by using your inks this way – try it out!

And I didn’t leave the inside alone, I stamped some of the sprigs that coordinate with the dies from the Curvy Christmas stamps and Curvy Dies.

I sponged a bit of ink on the die cut sprigs to make them pop a bit more.

I hope you liked today’s special project – perfect for anyone!

Here are the rest of the products I used:
