PCC403 – Snowflakes in the Window

Welcome to this week’s Paper Craft Crew Card Challenge!

Here is the PCC403 Inspirational Challenge image for “Holiday Reflections” we are using this week:

I created my project thinking of both a literal reflection and reflecting on what I did growing up for the holidays.

The house has these great french doors in the dining room, the kind that fold open and have tons of windows. We would take Christmas stencils and some liquid ‘stuff’ that turned white when it dried (I have no idea what it was, it was pinkish when wet) and sponge it on the windows and mirrors in the house.  When it dried it was like spraying that fake snow stuff nowadays.

So, I created a door with the ‘stencils’ on it!

I love the way it turned out.  I tried a few different options at first, like using the clear window sheets for the windows, but it was a bit tricky as the ink is a bit slippery on the sheets – so I stuck with vellum.

I embossed the sentiment and cut it out, then added the cute bow.

Super cute and really simple. I could see a bunch of different stamps used as the ‘stencils’.

Here is the supply list I used this week:

Stamps: Snowflake Wishes

Card Stock/Paper: Early Espresso, Vellum, In Good Taste DSP

Inks: Versamark, Craft White

Cut & Emboss Machine items: Stitched Rectangles Dies

Accessories: White Embossing Powder, Heat Tool, Dimensionals, Snowflake Splendor Ribbon
