International Highlights Winners Blog

Welcome to a special post today!  It’s the Top 10 for Kylie’s International Blog Highlights! What an exciting event to be voted in the Top 10!!

Our theme this month is Thank You, and I have lots to be thankful for!  So I’ve decided to come up with a bright fun card that can be used for any and all occasions of thanks!

Using a few items on the retiring list before they are gone for good, I picked out the Lined Alphabet because it has been so helpful! You can spell out anything you need to make your card just right for you.  I stamped it in Memento Black so the letters overlapped letting me use even more fun colors to fill in the spaces.

The base color is the retiring Blueberry Bushel, and I used the Stampin’ Blends in a variety of colors, including 3 more of the retiring In-Colors: Call Me Clover, Pineapple Punch and Lovely Lipstick.

To frame the words I used one of the scalloped shapes in the Stitched So Sweetly dies with Basic Black.

For the fun swirly background I used the Swirls & Curls embossing folder and took some Frost White Shimmer Paint on a sponge dauber, and smeared it across the design.
I tied some of the White Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon into a bow, and added some of the Happiness Blooms Enamel Dots.

<Bonus note:  After I cleaned up my workspace I was going to put all the Blends away, and I realized I was not going to remember all the colors I used, so I quickly snapped another picture with all the names showing…. but forgot to do it on my background! oh well, all’s still good! >

The colors are Light Night of Navy, Dark Bermuda Bay, Light Shaded Spruce, Light Call Me Clover, Dark and Light Pineapple Punch, Light Pumpkin Pie, Dark Flirty Flamingo, and Light Lovely Lipstick. It’s all covered in some Wink of Stella to make the letters sparkle.

I could not leave the inside of this one blank with all the fun colors on the front, so I gathered up the Retiring In-Colors, and the cute stars from the Little Twinkle stamp set, and stamped those along the edge.

I hope this one brightened your day!

Don’t forget to hop around the rest of today’s fantastic entries and leave us a comment!
thanks!!
Mak
