Blogging Friends Blog Hop – Fall

Welcome to this month’s Blogging Friends Blog Hop!

Each month we’ll have a different theme, and this month it’s FALL!

So many wonderful things going on at this time of year – school has started back up for the kiddos, the temperature *should* be starting to get a little cooler, and we have a NEW Holiday Catalog!!  For this month’s hop I have selected one of the wonderful new fall themed stamp and die bundles from the Holiday catalog.

There are several to pick from, and this one is the Gather Together Bundle. It has the Gather Together stamp set and the Gathered Leaves dies.

Here is the final project:

When I think of fall, I think of oranges, and deep yellows…
But here, I love the non-traditional color scheme of the Mint Macaron and Pretty Peacock! You can also see the Mint Macaron paired up with Pear Pizzazz in the Come To Gather Designer Series Paper. I used the Rectangle Stitched dies to cut out the background pieces. I think the highlight is the grouping of leaves, which are cut and embossed at the same time using the leaves in the die set. I added in Crumb Cake to coordinate with the Come To Gather Ribbon Combo Pack.
Adding a bit of glitz to the card is the Copper Delicata Metallic Ink, a bit of Shimmer Paint, and some Pretty Peacock Rhinestones.
It all adds layers of texture on top of the embossed card base – where I used the Subtle embossing folder.
Topping it all off is some clear embossing powder to make the sentiment shine, and a few flicks of Wink of Stella. I really wanted this one to sparkle with the cool thoughts of fall!

I hope this inspires you to make some non-traditional seasonal cards, too!

Be sure to hop around the rest of today’s fabulous Fall-themed posts and let us know what you think!

If you don’t have a copy of the New Holiday Catalog in your hands yet, and need one – Let me know! I’ll get one out to you!
Thanks for stopping by and Happy Stamping!
