Fancy Folds – Pinwheel Tower Card

Thanks for joining us this month! We’re hopping all over the world with some fun cards. It’s time for the new Fancy Fold for this month – the Pinwheel Tower Card!

This is so fun because it’s like 4 cards in one! And… it’s less complicated than it looks!

For this one, it folds flat into the standard 5.5″ x 4.25″ size card.

Start with a 4.25″ square of DSP – I used one of the In-Color pieces so it coordinated – but I wasn’t covering up a fancy design.

Score it along one side a few times to make a 1″ tube when folded up like this:

• Score at 1″, 2″, 3″, 4″.
• This will leave you a .25″ strip at the end to glue down to form the tube (center of the card).

Next take a half sheet of cardstock (5.5″ x 8.5″) and cut it in half, then each piece in half again – to make 4 pieces that are 4.25″ x 2.75″.

Glue each piece to one side of the square tube like this:

That’s the hardest part!  Next is all just decorating! How fun and easy is that!

I love this DSP, and wanted to keep it pretty simple and clean!

I mixed in a few different die sets so I could get the fun trees along with the snowman set.

For the greeting, I actually used one of the Stampin’ Write markers to color one word at a time so I could use only part of the stamp.

And, if you wanted to write an additional message, you can just add a layer of white onto one of the panels with the decorative trees on the side.

There are so many possibilities with this one!
