Blogging Friends Blog Hop – Easter

Welcome to this month’s Blogging Friends Blog Hop!

Thanks for making it over to my blog! Each month we’ll have a different theme, and this month it’s “Hippity, Hoppity Easter’s on it’s Way”.

This was a bit tricky for me as I was going through my stamps and realized I didn’t have too many Easter stamps.

I actually came up with a cute idea for making some Easter Eggs, but then completely didn’t use them! I think that will be for another card on a different day.

Today I decided to piece together some products that you wouldn’t expect to be considered for Easter.

I pulled in some flowers, some die cut alphabet letters, and then a partial sentiment.

Here’s how it all came together:

The flowers are so spring-like and happy, so I thought they’d make a great background.

I only needed a small sentiment to say “happy” with my die cut letters, so I used part of the stamp that says “Happy Galentine’s Day”.

It was just the right size!

After it was all put together, I splattered a bit of Wink of Stella all over the card.

It’s so incredibly shimmery in person. You can see some of the specks in the picture.

I guess I didn’t need the eggs on this card after all!

Here are the supplies I used:

Stamps: Hearts & Kisses, Pretty Perennials (Bundle)

Card Stock/Paper: Calypso Coral, So Saffron, Black, White

Inks: Calypso Coral, So Saffron, Mint Macaron, Memento Black

Cut & Emboss Machine items: Playful Alphabet Dies, Perennial Petals (Bundle), Tasteful Labels Dies, Brick & Mortar 3D embossing folder

Accessories: Wink of Stella, Dimensionals, Glue Dots, Forever Greenery Trim Combo Pack, Elegant Faceted Gems

I hope you’ve enjoyed this project, and don’t forget to hop through the rest of today’s entries and leave us some nice notes!
