Blogging Friends Blog Hop – Red Hot Love

Welcome to this month’s Blogging Friends Blog Hop!

Thanks for making it over to my blog! Each month we’ll have a different theme, and this month it’s “Red Hot Love”.

We’re talking about a monochromatic card using a shade of red! I selected a color more on the pink-side of red, Magenta Madness!

Here’s my take on it using the Hearts & Kisses stamp set…

It’s such a bright and happy card. I only used the one ink pad, and stamped the images multiple times to get the different shades of colors.

Here you can see the variations, as well as the sparkles from some Wink of Stella that was splattered on the card…

I love how this set has a coordinating punch, making it super easy to create extra hearts floating around.

I also used the colored inkpad with some versamark and clear embossing powder to get a shiny sentiment!

If you haven’t seen me do this before – it’s actually pretty simple.

First, ink up your stamp in Versamark.  Next, ink it up in your color. Then, stamp.  Sprinkle your clear embossing powder over it and heat. Voila!  Colored embossing!

It’s a great touch with so many options.

Here are the supplies I used:

Stamps: Hearts & Kisses (Bundle)

Card Stock/Paper: Magenta Madness, Black, White

Inks: Magenta Madness, Versamark

Accessories: Kiss Punch (Bundle), Magenta Madness 1/4″ Ribbon, Wink of Stella, Dimensionals, Clear Embossing Powder, Heat Tool

I hope you’ve enjoyed this project, and don’t forget to hop through the rest of today’s entries and leave us some nice notes!
