Fancy Folds – Surprise Window Card
December 31, 2020
Happy New Year’s Eve here in the States!!
Thanks for joining us this month! We’re hopping all over the world with some fun cards. It’s time for the new Fancy Fold for this month – the Surprise Window Card!
This was a fun one, as it’s easy to make and has so many possibilities! Basically you glue two card bases overlapped together to form three panels, and cut out a window on the first one! It’s that easy.
Here is the front of my finished project for you:
I took two Crumb Cake card bases and overlapped them so it’s doubled up in the middle. You can trim the edge of the back piece a bit of they don’t close nicely.
Then, I die cut out a circle on the front panel for the opening. When it’s closed, you only see the one flower.
This is what it is opened up with the first panel:
More colorful goodies!
If you peek inside, you can see the extra flower where you have plenty of room to write (or stamp) your greeting:
I made the flowers sparkle a bit with Wink of Stella:
Here’s a thing I’ve been doing lately when coloring…. After I’m done, I take a picture of all the markers I used so I don’t have to remember all the names before I move on to the next project!
I really love how it turned out! Here are the supplies I used:
Stamps: A Touch of Ink (SAB), Gorgeous Posies, Birch
Card Stock/Paper: Crumb Cake, Whisper White
Inks: Memento Black, Craft White, Crumb Cake
Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine items: Layering Circles Dies
Stampin’ Blends: Bermuda Bay, Granny Apple Green, Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie, Highland Heather, Magenta Madness, Basic Black, Color Lifter
Accessories: Wink of Stella, Glue Dots
I also hope you were inspired to give this one a try yourself!
