New at SU – Piece of Cake

Thank you for joining us!  We are a group of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from around the world who are Hoppin’ With Exciting Ideas to share with you.
We are featuring a Parade of Retiring Products from Stampin’ Up! and I know you will find a lot of wonderful ideas shared today.

I selected a wonderful set that can be used for just about any occasion. Piece of Cake is so versatile. Multiple cake designs and sentiments to choose from make it so fun. I used the coordinating Cake Builder punch for the cake and stand. I added an extra layer of cake just because it looked so neat!

I colored the cake and stand with the Stampin’ Blends, Purple Posy and Smokey Slate. I added some Shimmery Crystal Effects on the lollipops on top of the cake.

For the background, I’ve used a technique I’ve recently fallen in love with! Just use a sponge or brush to rub some color (Mango Melody and Daffodil Delight) onto the paper and work your way out in a circle pattern. It makes it darker in the middle, and lighter around the edges. Then, I stamped some sentiments right over it.

Some other retiring items I have used are the Silver Metallic Thread and the Basic Adhesive-Backed Sequins. They give it added sparkle that adds to the fun.
