Blogging Friends Blog Hop – Fall Inspirational Photo

Welcome to this month’s “Blogging Friends Blog Hop!”

Who are the ‘Blogging Friends’? We are Stampin’ Up! demonstrators all across the U.S. and Canada. Most of us haven’t met in person, but love Stampin’ Up and want to share with you! Please join us on the 1st of every month to see what wonderful things we have created!  Each month we’ll have a different theme! This month it’s an Inspiration Photo!

Isn’t that just a gorgeous scene? It’s September 1st, and even though it’s still summer, some of us can’t wait til it’s Autumn! I’m not even ashamed to say I’ve had my first Pumpkin Spice Latte of the season. Ok, maybe a little, but it was still good!

So, I looked at this picture and immediately focused on the sunflowers, just to make sure I wasn’t jumping too far into Fall just yet. Here is the card I made from that inspiration:

I mixed a little of the old and new for this one – giving you some more sneak peeks at products available starting on Sept 5th in the Holiday Catalog.

For starters, let’s not forget about the Annual Catalog – which is where these lovely flowers came from, Painted Harvest. I layered Crushed Curry and Pumpkin Pie for the petals, and Soft Suede with Granny Apple Green for the centers. I think it came out pretty close to the inspiration photo!
For the background, I used the Subtle embossing folder, which is true to the name. To make it stand out a bit more, I ran a sponge with the Crushed Curry ink across the edges.

You can see it a bit better that way. You can also see a few of the new items, like the copper glimmer paper – which is part of a 6×6 inch multi pack called Joyous Noel, and includes Merry Merlot and Tranquil Tide with it. I also used the new Sprig Punch, available in the same suite as the Glimmer paper.
The sentiment is heat embossed with Copper, and I used one other new item to die cut the vellum. That piece came from the Farmhouse Framelits dies, and you can look for more samples made with the Festive Farmhouse Suite of products in the next week!

I hope you have enjoyed diving into Fall for a few moments for this month’s hop. Continue on by clicking below!
