Designer Series Paper – What’s New at Stampin’ Up! Blog Hop

Welcome! I am happy that you are joining us for our hop today. We are a group of Stampin’ Up! demonstrator from around the world who are Hoppin’ With Exciting Ideas to share with you. Today we will be featuring the Designer Series Papers from the Annual Catalog.
Hopefully these will get you inspired, as Stampin’ Up! has their Buy 3 Get 1 FREE DSP sale going on this month! So, take a look, I know you will find a lot of wonderful ideas shared today.

When I looked back and saw I used the Garden Impressions 6×6 DSP for last month’s hop, and thought I’d like to share it in a different way. You may look at this paper and think flowers, but guess what! The flip sides of the flower designs have some pretty cool patterns, that don’t have to be made into flower cards!

So, here is what I came up with, it kind of looks like an abstract painting of a night sky.

It reminds me of another pack of Designer Series Paper – the Twinkle Twinkle DSP, which does have paper with stars on it! For my version, I added a few stars myself with some Whisper White Craft ink and the stars from the Little Twinkle Stamp Set. I also used some Smokey Slate with more stars for the circle with the sentiment. I stamped off once to make it much lighter.
The sentiment and the cute silver flourishes came from the Stitched Seasons Framelits and Blended Seasons Stamp Set – which will be available as a special Limited Time Offer next month, or you can get it early if you don’t already have a Demonstrator and you join my team.

Here you can see I finished it off with some Polka Dot ribbon, Silver Baker’s Twine, and of course Wink of Stella. I love that this can be a great card for anyone, and that you don’t have to make flowery cards with the flower paper! That’s the awesomeness of the Designer Series Papers… TWO sides. YAY!

I hope you enjoyed my card today, showcasing how easy it is to use the DSP as a main element to a card, as well as showing off some of those beautiful patterns on the back.

Please take a moment to leave a comment to let me know how you liked my project or ask me any questions about how I created it.
