Fancy Folds – Triangle Gate Fold

Thanks for joining us this month! We’re hopping all over the world with some fun cards. It’s time for the new Fancy Fold for this month – the Triangle Gate Fold!

I love using these Fancy Folds, because you don’t have to make the design overly complicated. If you still want to do a simple card, you can!

For this fold, it’s a lot easier than it looks, and the results are so cute.

Start with your favorite Designer Series Paper – so you can show off both sides!

Use a 12″ x 5.25″ sheet, and score from both ends at 2″, and 4″.

You will fold these in so they meet in the middle from the inside crease, then the flaps go back out to the outside edges. (See pics below.)

Next, you will want to snip off the top corners, and keep these, we will use them next.

I didn’t even measure for this one… just start at the crease (2″ from the edge), and go down the side roughly 2 – 2.25 inches, as long as it doesn’t go past the middle.

Flip these pieces over, and glue them to the bottom corners.

I used a square to hold my sentiment (white = 2.5″ and black = 2.75″).  When attaching it, remember to only put glue on one half of the back, so you don’t glue your card shut!

Next, you can add whatever decorations or embellishments you want.

I used some ribbon and dots for this part. Super cute, bright, and simple!

Inks: Crushed Curry, Black

Accessories: Matte Black Dots, Bumblebee Gingham Ribbon, Glue Dots
