Blogging Friends Blog Hop – Baby Come Rockin’

Welcome to this month’s Blogging Friends Blog Hop!

Thanks for making it over to my blog! Each month we’ll have a different theme, and this month it’s “Baby Come Rockin’”

I don’t get the chance to make baby-themed cards too often, so I was excited to do it this month. I went digging through my stash, and found the perfect stamp set!
I used the Animal Outing stamps with the coordinating dies, Animal Friends. It makes cutting out the kangaroo super easy, and you get bonus leaves. Check out the result!

The subtle colors work so well with this set for a baby card. I used Soft Sea Foam and Pool Party with a few layers of Black to make the colors stand out.
The Layered Leaves 3D embossing folder provides the textured background.

The scalloped white rectangle was cut with the Stitched So Sweetly dies, then I sponged some of the ink on it to go behind the kangaroo to give it a bit more color.
I colored the cute koala and kangaroo with Stampin’ Blends. Colors were Light and Dark Crumb Cake, Light and Dark Gray Granite, and Ivory.
Additionally on the background, I splattered a little Wink of Stella and some Smokey Slate (using the Write marker).
To finish it all off I added a few sequins from the Basic Adhesive-Backed sequins.
