Blogging Friends Blog Hop – Spring Wedding
March 6, 2020
Welcome to this month’s Blogging Friends Blog Hop!
Thanks for making it over to my blog! Each month we’ll have a different theme, and this month it’s “Spring Wedding”
I went through the stamps I had and decided to give some love to the Annual Catalog! I pulled out the perfect set for this one, Piece of Cake.
For the Spring element, I went with a soft color, Purple Posy, and paired it up with a lot of White and bling!
I used the Purple Posy cardstock together with the light Highland Heather Blends marker for the pop of color. The cake base was colored with the Light and Dark Gray Granite Blends.
It was so easy to piece this one together using the coordinating Cake Builder punch. I layered it with the Stitched Shapes Dies (the oval) and some of the Silver Metallic Edged ribbon.
For the fun swirly background, I used the Parisian Flourish 3D embossing folder with vellum, and layered it on white. It gives it added depth you don’t get with embossing just white cardstock alone.
I added rhinestones to the background as well as the flowers on the cake – with some Wink of Stella of course for extra sparkle.
This is such a lovely card, and would be perfect for any Spring Wedding, or even an anniversary. With all the different cake designs available in the stamp set, you could use this same layout for just about any occasion you can think of!
I hope you like it, and don’t forget to check out the other great projects by clicking through the hop today! Here is the list of participants:
