Fancy Folds – Joy Fold

Hi folks!  Thanks for joining us this month! We’re hopping all over the world with some fun cards. It’s time for the new Fancy Fold for this month – the Joy Fold Card!

I knew immediately which set I wanted to use for this one – the super cute The Gang’s All Meer! It just seems so happy to me, and I paired it up with some equally fun Designer Series Paper. Here’s my creation for you today:

I colored the critters with a variety of Stampin’ Blends marker colors and outlined them with the Light Pool Party color to make the image stand out.

The fun paper is from the Birthday Bonanza Designer Series Paper collection, and I matched it up with the Terracotta Tile and Bermuda Bay colors for the Cardstock.

The added sparkle is from the Champagne Rhinestones, and the bow is made using the Whisper White Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon.

Here’s the fun fold part of the card, look at it from the bottom:

I used a standard size card base (Terracotta Tile) and cut part of the front off. I didn’t even measure it. Then, I made a smaller version of a card (once again, no measuring involved) in Bermuda Bay and layered them on top of each other.  I’m sure you could measure it to make sure it’s even, but you can just take a smaller piece of cardstock and fold it in half for a no stress option!

Here is what happens when you flip the top to the right (showing the super cute single meerkat):

When you open the rest of the card up, flipping the smaller flap to the left, you get this, with plenty of room to write a note:
