Blogging Friends Blog Hop – Things That Go Bump In The Night

Welcome to this month’s Blogging Friends Blog Hop!

Each month we’ll have a different theme, and this month it’s Things That Go Bump in the Night!

Such a fun theme this month – there are so many options to choose for this one, so I picked a mix of things!

I started with a Halloween feel- being October… But I went with some non-traditional Halloween colors. Instead of orange and black, I went with purple and blue. Next I added in what goes bump in the night here in my household – a cat!

I used the Wonderfully Wicked stamp set for the cat and sentiment and Snow Front for the tree and clouds. I love that you can use that set for all seasons. Usually I use that specific stamp for the ground, but here it was turned into the clouds!

To get the spooky sky, I used a sticky note to mask off the moon, then I sponged Highland Heather, Gorgeous Grape, Pacific Point, and Night of Navy. I flicked a bit of water on it from my Aqua Painter, then flicked my Wink of Stella over it to get a bit of sparkle.

To round out the scenery I added in an annual catalog item with the Enjoy Life stamp set to make the grass.

I love how it turned out, and to think about it, the hardest part was trimming out my cat. The first one ended up without a tail (oops)!

Hopefully this won’t keep you up at night! The more I look at this card, the more I love it! 🙂
