Blogging Friends Blog Hop – Back to School Bash

Welcome to this month’s Blogging Friends Blog Hop!

Each month we’ll have a different theme, and this month it’s Back to School Bash!

It’s amazing how quickly the summer is going by, and the start of the school year is right around the corner.

I’ve decided to focus on the creativity of the teachers for my card today. It’s a card to celebrate them!

Here is my super colorful creation:

I love the variety of bright colors you can get using the Pigment Sprinkles. They are my go-to accessory for fun colors!

I used the Crafting Forever stamp set for the art supplies and colored them in with various Stampin’ Blends markers. The sentiment I pulled from the Peaceful Place stamp set. It’s great that you can mix and match sentiments from other sets.

For the fun background, I stamped the letters from the Lined Alphabet stamp set all over the watercolor paper after the Pigment Sprinkles dried.  I used the Wink of Stella brush to give it sparkle, and it also lightened the color a little bit where I used it – giving it a pretty nifty effect.

To finish it off, I added in some metallic silver thread and some glitter enamel dots for additional texture and sparkle.

I hope you like this version of a Back to School card, and make sure to leave all the hoppers a comment to let us know what you think!

Enjoy the rest of the hop here:

Happy stamping!

Mary Ann
