Weekly deals changing and Watercolor technique

Hi folks!

Lots going on this week … First..ย  If you have not seen it yet, go check out the weekly deals from Stampin’ Up! They are changing things up, and the Weekly Deals as we know them are going away on April 18th! But don’t worry completely, they will have special offers to replace them, just less frequent, in the future. ๐Ÿ™‚

You don’t want to miss out on the deals they have there right now, there are over a dozen items, including the Rose Garden and Sunburst thinlits!

Next – If you have not contacted me back yet on my class this weekend, time is running out!
Class is Saturday at 1:00 pm – make sure to RSVP by tonite!

Last – I wanted to share another video I created for you…
It’s using Stampin’ Markers and Watercoloring on a Block. I’m not sure it has an official name, but it’s fun and turns out really neat.

I used the “In the Meadow” stamp set from the Occasions catalog with the Archival Black ink, and colored the block with Pumpkin Pie, Crushed Curry, and Marina Mist markers. After coloring on the block, you mist it with water, then ‘stamp’ it on the paper.. you get different looks depending on what type of paper and how much water you use. In the video I did not have my handy Stamping Spritzers with me, so I used an old container from my Stamping Mist cleaner… Next time I’ll have my Spritzers! ๐Ÿ™‚

Give it a try and let me know how it goes, I’d love to share your samples here with others!
(Here is the sample I used for inspiration mentioned in the video.)

If there are other techniques you are looking to learn, let me know so I can put something together for you!
Thanks for stopping by!
Mak
