Yellow Rose for Flower Week

Hi folks!  As I mentioned, I have a few cards from my upcoming class to share!
So, here’s the first one this week. 🙂

I have seen so many wonderful samples from fellow crafters! I loved an idea I saw where folks make a two-toned rose..  I used the Rose Wonder stamp set and coordinating Rose Garden thinlits for this. I used the Big Shot and the smaller rose thinlit to cut out the rose 3 times… once in Black, once in So Saffron, and once in Daffodil Delight. Then, I pieced them back together like a puzzle!  I did the same for the leaves, but only used Black and Wild Wasabi for that.
I will say, it’s a bit time consuming, but SO WORTH IT! You can experiment with different colors, too. Try shades of pinks, yellows, purples, even mix and match them!

The little flowers in the background are stamped in Wild Wasabi, and the sentiment came from the Perfect Pairings Sale-A-Bration stamp set (you can earn for free with a $50 purchase).
To top it off I used some of the Wink of Stella to give it some shimmer on the rose.
This card also has a bonus fold that wouldn’t be on a standard card… Just fold over the edge and glue it down before adding the layers with the rose! It’s an added element to make it different. 🙂

I hope you like it, and if you want to learn how to make this.. just sign up for my class or contact me to schedule your own class with your friends!

Have a good one, and check back this week for more previews!
