Blogging Friends Blog Hop for Valentine’s
February 1, 2016
Welcome to the “Blogging Friends Blog Hop!”
Who are the ‘Blogging Friends’? We are a group of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators located all across the U.S. and Canada who had never met before. Well, actually, we still haven’t met yet (in person). . . But, through our common bond of Stampin’ Up! and a shared love of papercrafting we have created a fun new blog hop. Please join us on the 1st of every month to see what wonderful things we have created!
Each month we’ll have a different theme; this month it’s Valentines or Reds and Pinks!
What I want to share with you today is one of the cards I created for my recent class (which was AWESOME, btw!)… There were 5 different designs, and being close to Valentine’s day, I wanted to make sure we had at least one that could be used for that purpose!
Don’t worry, I’ll have some more classes scheduled soon, so if you missed that one, there will be more! I have a placeholder for the end of February, so keep an eye out for more details on that one!
So…. here was my card:
I have seen several uses of the wonderful window from the Hearth & Home Thinlits, and thought this was perfect with the tree from the coordinating stamp set, Happy Home. These are both featured in the new Occasions Catalog, and even come as a bundle. 🙂
For my colors, I used Blushing Bride and Melon Mambo for the pinks, and Pear Pizzazz for the green grass. The tree and grass are stamped in Basic Gray, and then colored with markers. If you look closely, you can see the sparkle of the Dazzling Details glitter on the tree. Then, it’s all wrapped up with some Smokey Slate (pun intended!) thick baker’s twine.
I also like that this can be used for a Valentine’s card, or not! It’s that versatile.
I’m hoping you’ll enjoy taking a look at all the other Valentine themed ideas in this blog hop, too!
In case you’ve never ‘done’ a blog hop before, it’s really easy! At the bottom of this post, you’ll see another image similar to the one above, and when you click on it, you’ll be taken directly to the next blog in the hop. Keep clicking on that image at the bottom of each blog post, and you’ll hop through all of the participating blogs, back to where you started – and you’ll see all of the amazing projects created for your inspiration! If you’d prefer to hop about at your leisure, you can click on the individual links for each blog. Happy Hopping!
