Holiday Catalog is Live Now!
September 3, 2015
Hi folks!!! I’m getting everything updated for the new Holiday Catalog season! It went live just this week, and if you need a paper copy, let me know ASAP so I can get one to you.
If you haven’t seen it yet.. Oh My Goodness!! You are missing out! It’s got something for all the Fall & Winter season Holidays… A little bit of Halloween, Thanksgiving and LOTS of Winter Christmastime goodies!
You can always go to to the “Shop Now” tab at the top of my blog to get to all the different Online store sections, but here’s a shortcut right to the Holiday Items:
I’ll be sharing projects from this throughout the season of the Catalog.
If you see something you like and want to order online, be sure to use this month’s hostess code: TSS3HA4J if your order is under $150. If it’s over, you get some goodies for yourself! 🙂
* * Before I get to that card… I just wanted to remind folks to check out my calendar… I’ve scheduled the next Fall Card Class, on Saturday Sept 12th.
The ‘event’ is posted on my Facebook page, and I always put the countdown at the top of this blog. 🙂
I will also be scheduling some Christmas Card classes in the near future, but this one coming up will still be fall-related.. no snowflakes yet!! I don’t want to rush into that!!
I will also be having a giant sale on my retired stamps and accessories at this class.. so make sure to RSVP so we have enough room set up to stamp AND browse the retired goodies!!
Ok, on to the first Holiday Catalog card. 🙂
It’s got a few different new elements in here… and I want to show you a few steps along the way..
I used the stamp set Happy Scenes with the coordinating Hearth & Home Thinlit to make he window. They work perfectly together. 🙂
Here’s a picture of the image I stamped on Very Vanilla and just colored with my Blender Pens and the ink pads:
I used Smokey Slate to do some shadowing around the tree (and pumpkins, and leaves)… and, this next one is after I did a little sponging for the sky:
Isn’t that cool?? Pretty neat transformation… and it was simple and quick!! Nothing fancy, just used one dauber and grabbed a few different colors one at a time starting with a yellow, then an orange, then Melon Mambo! I love how it turned out.
I layered the window on with some dimensionals, used the black satin ribbon, the Happy Haunting Designer Series Paper, and one of the Spider Web Doilies!!
OOH! and I almost forgot… I added Dazzling Details to the doily.. so it sparkles. I arranged them so the window looks like it’s right in someone’s house.. with the wallpaper and chair rail (is that what it’s called?).. So I hope you like it!
Don’t forget to RSVP for my next class and have a good day!
Mak
