PPA234 Wisteria Tree

Hello!!  Happy New Year!    There was a little bit of a delay on my side as the seasonal sickness hit my household, and I was down and out for quite a while!
But – Back to normal (as normal as can be anyway), and back to stamping!

There are a lot of exciting stamping things going on, and coming up right around the corner!
For starters, I was able to spend part of the weekend stamping away with my stamping family at a technique class held by my wonderful upline! We came away with lots of new samples, and learned quite a few new things! I will be sharing those over the next weeks, so be on the lookout for those!
Next, today is the last day of the super stocked Clearance Rack with the Year-End Closeouts! If you want to stock up and get ready for next year’s season with some goodies from this year – Don’t miss out!
Today is also the last day for the Holiday Catalog!  And that means….
Last but definitely NOT least…. Tomorrow starts both the New Occasions Catalog AND the Sale-A-Bration period! I will have more about those, and links to those when they come out live tomorrow!

Until then, here is a quick sample for the next challenge I joined.  It’s a color challenge from Pals Paper Arts PPA234:

Here is the card I came up with:

I also made this a second time, and changed up the sentiment a bit:
I like them both. I really like this tree, and have used a similar layout in previous cards. The stamp set just makes it so easy to get a picture-like setting with no effort!
For these, I used the Sheltering Tree stamp set (will be in the Occasions Catalog), and Sassy Salutations for the greeting. The greeting is stamped and heat embossed in Silver.
The tree is stamped in Night of Navy, and the leaves are stamped off first in Wisteria Wonder to make them lighter, then highlighted with more leaves in full strength Wisteria Wonder, and Silver.
The grass is Pear Pizzazz, just stamped multiple times to give it varying shades of darkness.
The tag on the first one was cut from Vellum using the Chalk Talk Framelits Die. It’s accented with some Rhinestones and held on with glue dots under the Rhinestones so you can’t see them.
You can almost do this card in any color combo!

Hope you like it!
Mak
