Mojo Monday 379 – Lotus Blossom

Here’s a quick card for the Mojo Monday 379 Sketch Challenge, just in time!
It highlights two items in the new Sale-A-Bration catalog.

The first is the Lotus Blossom Stamp Set, using just the sentiment.
The other is the nifty new Specialty Designer Series Paper (DSP) – Irresistibly Yours. It’s white paper with white/clear glossy embossed designs on it, so you can color it any color to make the designs pop! Pretty neat stuff!

Here is the card I came up with:

I stayed pretty close to the sketch as you can see. The main colors are Old Olive and Rich Razzleberry. I also have some Silver Glimmer Paper on there.
The sentiment is colored with markers to get the words in different colors.
Some accessories used are the Silver 1/8″ ribbon, and Old Olive Taffeta ribbon.
The Old Olive paper uses the Decorative Dots Embossing Folder with the Big Shot.  I sponged the Rich Razzleberry flowers with the same color ink to make them more textured. They were punched out with the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack.
The DSP flower background was sponged, then I added a few Rhinestones on the flowers.
Behind the scenes:  A tip on the sponged flower background using the Specialty DSP… After sponging the two colors, the ink still stayed on the flowers a little more than I wanted – they weren’t as white. So, I took a paper towel and got it a little (very little) damp, and just wiped it over the paper.. and voila! White flowers again! It just removes any leftover ink on the glossy parts.
