PP216 and PPA223: Halloween Colors

Time to get back to the challenges!!   Here are two more, that worked perfectly together!  The Paper Players #216 Jaydee’s Halloween Theme Challenge and Pals Paper Arts #223 A Spooky Color Combination.
Here’s the theme inspiration:

and here’s the color inspiration:

So, combining the two, this is what I came up with:

I used Versamark ink and clear embossing powder for the webs (and the sneaky little bugger hanging in the middle of the wreath). The bat is from the Freaky Friends set in the Holiday Catalog, as well as the coordinating Ghoulish Greeting word set. There are so many monsters to choose from! I almost wanted to cover the wreath in the spooky eyes, but that’s a little too much fussy cutting for even me! Maybe I’ll go back and add them to the background…
Instead of using black on the wreath, I actually used Blackberry Bliss, since I think the dark purple color goes nicely with the Tangelo Twist, and wanted to add in a bit more color.
I once again offset an additional layer of the wreath so it stands out more against the black background. Add a few rhinestones, and dimensionals and we’re all done!

Behind the scenes:  When you don’t have embossing powder in the color you want (Tangelo Twist in this case), use the regular ink and immediately put the clear embossing powder on it – it will stick!  Emboss as regular, and voila! now the ghoulish greetings is embossed.

Hope you like it!
