PPA221 – Cats Cats Cats

Well, I figured since I had the cats out, I would use them for the next challenge! That’s right, two sketches today. Wo-hoo!  Check out this cute sketch from Pals Paper Arts PPA221:
I decided to make the squares be the cat homes… but didn’t want to duplicate the cat stamps I had, so I filled in one square with the fish that comes in the same set! Here is the card I came up with:
There are lots of layers on this one. The background has a layer of texture, then there’s the larger square with the DSP (Designer Series Paper), and all the little squares… and lots of dimensionals. 🙂  If you look close, the fish are the same colors as the cat collars and eyes. And rhinestones! lots of those, from the cat collars to the fish bubbles… lots of shiny.

Behind the scenes:  Since I already told you about the marker/old blender pen trick to color the eyes here, I’ll mention the tag this time.  An easy way to cut the ends of the pennant shaped banner is to use the corner of a square punch. It makes them uniform, and a lot less snipping.
