PPA220 and PP214 – Happy Birthday Tree
September 23, 2014
Hi folks! Today’s sample combines two challenges. I was setting out to work on one, then realized it could actually fit into both categories! Yay! So, here are the two challenges:
PPA220: Pals Paper Arts – Sketch Challenge
PP214: The Paper Players – Jaydee’s Clean and Simple Challenge
I started out working on the sketch challenge, then thought since it was not very frilly, it could easily be a masculine card, too. Here’s what I came up with:
This is definitely an easy one to make, and so clean looking (I think). I actually made two trees, testing out the coloring, and meant to use the other one.. but oops! this one got glued on first! 🙂
I’m kinda stuck on using the daubers to color stamps, I just like the way it looks, so that’s what I did here to color the tree. I used Versamark for the Hardwood background, and markers to color the verse. Super easy and do-able.
Behind the scenes: If you’re like me and don’t own every framelit ever made… just cut out the banner by hand! Hopefully nobody will know the difference! Although, framelits do make it easier, just sayin…
Here are some supplies used:

The daubers do make a gorgeous coloring for your tree! The Haedwood background was the perfect place to plant it too! Thanks for sharing at the Pals Paper Arts this week.a
