I entered a challenge!
September 1, 2014
This is a new one for me… since it was kind of a rainy day here today, I figured I’d get my next sample up here.. and check out some new ideas from other demonstrators. Well, I ran across a card I thought was really cute, and noticed it was created for an online challenge…of course I had to check it out. I’ve seen them before, but never really figured out how they worked. Today was the day I did just that! I found the challenge, created the card, and entered!!
This challenge is hosted by Freshly Made Sketches, and this was the design given for us to use:
Here is my take on that design:
I was pretty excited to use the same Festival of Trees set as my last post <click here if you missed it>, which primarily looks like a Christmas set – but as you can see in this card, it can be more than that!!
I also used a new set, Good Greetings, which is a new FREE Hostess gift for qualifying shows. To see more on that, check out my Promotions page here!
I used markers to color the tree, and the leaves are from the Bird Builder punch. The other cool item here is the paper! I used the new fall themed Designer Series Paper called Color Me Autumn. It gives you the ‘washed’ look but without any fussing! Snip and glue and done. I hope everyone likes the card!
<edited to add supplies used>
Stamps: Good Greetings, Festival of Trees
CS/Inks/Markers: Mossy Meadow, Cajun Craze, Crushed Curry, Blackberry Bliss, Whisper White
DSP: Color Me Autumn
Others: Tree Punch, Dimensionals, Stamp-a-ma-jig
