2 more challenges: FMS152 and PP211

Anyone who knows me well, knows I can be a competitive person… Entering a challenge was fun, but it’s a contest… so wouldn’t it be cool to win? 🙂   Even if not this time, it definitely gets you thinking on how to make new cards – to possibly win next time?  heh. Either way, winning or not, it’s pretty neat to come up with new ideas with a little guidance. And, you get to check out all the other really neat entries from other crafty folks!  So, having said that, I found another challenge, and it turns out I can combine two of them! I didn’t plan on doing it that way, but it kinda just worked out.

So, here’s this week’s Freshly Made Sketches #152 challenge:

FMS Final 152-001

AND… a new one for me, The Paper Players #211, and we got to play tic tac toe!! The idea is pick 3 in a row, and use those on a card. Here is the sketch:

For this one, I chose Birthday, Yellow and Patterned Paper…  Just my luck it also worked out for Patterned Paper, Ribbon and Purple.. I think I should get bonus points for two lines.  Here is the lovely card I came up with – and I need to add that my son helped me pick this one out. He likes stamping just as much as I do some days, as long as there is not a Minecraft game to be played..

It was a nice little break to get back to the cool stuff in the big Catalog, even though I do love the Holiday Catalog.. and there will be many, many more samples from that to come.
Here’s a closeup of the rhinestones. You can see the flowers better, too.  I colored them both with the Blendabilities markers, and using the rhinestones and the Blendabilities together means you can make them a bunch of different colors..

I must confess, I was really tempted to fill up that white space with *anything*, as I tend to stray away from white space.  Especially since the new software at work has TOO MUCH white space on the screen.. but in this case, I think it works!
I hope everyone likes it!  Please leave a comment if you do 🙂

Here are the supplies used:

Thanks for looking!!
